For those of you unfamiliar with the general story of the Holiday…

Speaking of Holy Sh*t… for this week’s Main Story we go to Lakewood Church, in the Houston-area, where we hear the newest revelations of preacher and televangelist, Joel Osteen.
(*Before we begin, for those of you reading this, we in no way want to impede or infringe on your religious beliefs, and we are in no way mocking any religion, or any single person by sharing this story with you… We just thought… this is a fun story that we thought we would share*)
For those of you unfamiliar with Joel Osteen, he is perhaps the most famous Mega-Church preacher, who… much like Jesus… lives a pious, humble life… NOT!
Osteen is one of the richest Pastors in the United States, with a net worth of over 100 Million Dollars… he is not shy about flaunting his private jet, his opulent car collection, or his MASSIVE home.
While he is beloved by some in his congregation … Osteen fell into media scrutiny in August 2017 when his church reportedly turned away Texans who were in need of food, shelter, and general care after Hurricane Harvey hit Houston.
So yeah… something seems suspicious!
Now that we are all caught up, back to our Main Story…
In 2014, a widely publicized $600,000 ‘robbery’ of Joel Osteen’s Church made headlines, and police are still investigating the reported robbery today!
Flash forward to this week… when a plumber called into Houston-area radio station 100.3 ‘The Bull’ and dropped a bombshell claim.
The Radio host asked his morning show audience to call in about the craziest valuable thing they ever found…
A plumber called in and told the radio station that while fixing the Bathroom at Lakewood Church…
“There was a loose toilet in the wall, and we removed the tile. We went to go remove the toilet, and I moved some insulation away and about 500 envelopes of cash and checks fell out of the wall, and I was like ‘Oh wow!’”
Now people are questioning if that missing $600,000 that was reported as a robbery was the same money in these walls?
We don’t know about you… but if you are hiding Money in the Walls of your Bathroom… you are doing something suspicious.
You shouldn’t have to remove Dry-wall in order to purchase Christmas Gifts…
While we here at POTTYMINTS typically like to keep what happens in the bathroom… in the Bathroom – we figured we had to share that story with you!
Let’s get into this week’s POTTY Picks!
This past week, the world lost a true genius – Virgil Abloh at 41, after a two-year battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare cancer.
After working with Kanye West for years, Virgil went on to become the artistic director of Louis Vuitton men’s wear as well as the founder of his own brand, “Off-White”.
Mr. Abloh was a prolific collaborator with outside brands from Nike to Evian, and a popular fashion theorist whose expansive and occasionally controversial approach to design inspired comparisons with everyone from Andy Warhol to Jeff Koons.
This week’s video of the week is courtesy of the New York Times, which went behind the scenes with Virgil in 2017, to get a glimpse into his brilliance. He and his visionary work, will truly be missed.
For this week’s Potty Picks, we wanted to highlight 5 songs for the period leading up to Christmas!
Walking through New York City with headphones on, with any of these 5 songs on, feels like I am the main character in a movie about me!
We think that with these songs in the background, you too can feel invincible!
This week, we feature music from: Stevie Wonder, Louis Armstrong, Stan Getz, Menahan Street Band, and John Legend!
For this week’s Bathroom Moment of the Week, we go to Spain, to the Nagami Studio – where we meet… The Throne!
While the design alone is intriguing enough… The Throne is actually the world’s first 3D- Printed public toilet!
Made entirely from discarded plastic medical equipment from hospitals across Europe, that are then melted down and printed over the course of 3 days, to create this portable toilet.
These are combined with an off-the-shelf separation toilet seat, which diverts the urine while the solids are composted so they can be put to use locally as a fertilizer.
The first prototype, is currently being trialed on a building site in the Swiss Alps!

On a quick personal note, we wanted to quickly say Thank you to you all!
While we were unsure as to how this Black Friday Weekend would go this year – and thanks to you we had our best weekend yet!
We are truly blow away by your constant support for POTTYMINTS, and we cannot begin to thank you enough for your business!
As you know, we like to end our blogs with a quote for the week ahead, and we thought given his recent passing, we would feature a quote from another genius – Stephen Sondheim.
“Any moment, big or small, Is a moment, after all. Seize the moment, skies may fall any moment.
Stephen Sondheim
We hope you all have a fantastic week ahead!
See you next week for another Potty Time with POTTYMINTS!
