🚽🍌 This 💩 is B-A-N-A-N-A-S🍌🚽| Potty Time with POTTYMINTS (Ep. 54)

Goooood Morning POTTY People!

“For its One, Two, Three Strikes you're out at the old ball game!”

Baseball… America’s pastime

Or as the song “Take Me Out To the Ballgame” suggests… the “old ball game”

We have always found it strange that Baseball is described as “Old” or “Pastime” - meaning it’s describing itself as a relic of the past!

And to be honest, we don’t disagree - the average baseball game takes a little over 3 hours… (2 of those hours are spent watching grown men spit…)

It was clear, “America's Pastime” needed an upgrade… something that made the game faster, more entertaining… and frankly… fun!

Which brings us to this week’s main story…

For our Main Story this week, we take you to Savannah Georgia, where we introduce you to “The Savannah Bananas”... widely known as the greatest show in sports!

While we all know about The Harlem Globetrotters, who travel the world entertaining audiences for over 90 years… We are confident this is the first time you are hearing about “The Savannah Bananas”

You see, while other sports grow to wider international audiences, baseball is one of those sports that seems to be reluctant to change… until now

"All innovation is about falling in love with a problem," Cole said. "We saw a problem -- that people were saying baseball is too long, too slow, too boring. We said, 'How do we defeat that?' And so we started testing on that."

Meet Jesse Cole…  a 37-year-old, yellow-tuxedoed iconoclast, a former collegiate pitcher who scoffs at the rigidities of professional baseball.

Today, he oversees an exaggerated version of what MLB strives to tap into -- an action-packed brand of baseball that encourages fun, doesn't take itself too seriously and resonates with a casual audience.

While many Major League Baseball teams struggle to get fans to come to the ballgames… the Savanna Bananas have sold out every game… by changing the rules for the “Tik Tok” generation

You see… The Savanna Bananas now have more than 575,000 followers on Tik Tok…

More than any major league team, and a waiting list of over 50,000 people waiting to buy tickets for their upcoming games… which sell out within hours

While we could explain to you why people drive from other states to go watch a silly baseball game… we think this video sums it up pretty nicely!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you… The Savanna Bananas

We don’t know about you, but we LOVE waterparks!

Clearly, there are not many options for Waterparks in NYC where Suzanna and I grew up, so we would go to the far off land of New Jersey to seek some aquatic adventures!

While New Jersey boasts many waterparks to choose from… there is one particular waterpark that is often brought up… “Action Park”

… Or as it is more commonly referred to… “Class Action Park”

You see… Action Park was considered one of the most dangerous water parks, because people literally died riding their rides.

Rides that seemed to defy the laws of physics, were quickly built, tested maybe once with a crash dummy… and then opened to the public… was the norm

We assure you, you have never seen rides like this before, so for this weeks Video of the Week, enjoy “The Most Dangerous Rides You Can Find at Class Action Park’

There is nothing like rolling the windows of your car down, letting the warm air blow through your hair… and bumpin' some good music!

And if no particular song comes to mind when you picture this… may we recommend our POTTY Picks playlist!

For anyone new to the blog, in this section we choose 5 songs for the week ahead, and add them to our ongoing playlist called POTTY Picks!

This week, roll down the windows and turn up the volume, because we have some great songs!

  • “Is It True” - Tame Impala
  • “Tieduprightnow” - Parcels
  • “Turn Me On” - Kevin Lyttle
  • “Hold On, We’re Going Home” - Drake, Majid Jordan
  • “Know Your Worth” - Khalid, Disclosure, Davido, Tems

  • When it comes to the Bathroom… we thought we had seen it all…

But this week’s Bathroom Moment of the Week reminds us that when it comes to all things Toilet… the internet is undefeated

For this story, we go to Silver Lake, Minnesota where we hear about their annual summer festival called “Pola-Czesky Days” which takes place the first week of August every summer.

The event features a 5K walk/run, fireworks and the crowd favorite… toilet bowl races.

Yes, you did read that correctly, Toilet Bowl Races

"They put a toilet bowl on a frame, with wheels, and race it down a street," said Sharon Bandas, a resident of Silver Lake.

Teams of two sit on toilets attached to wheels and push their way through the course with plungers.

In their first obstacle, teams must unravel an entire roll of toilet paper before moving on.

In the second obstacle, teams race to fill a toilet tank with water.

The third obstacle involves spinning around a plunger before racing back to the starting line.

The event has become so popular… they have now introduced a new Potty competition:  “the most elaborate latrine”

    Happy Pola-Czesky Days!
