Potty Time with POTTYMINTS: Episode 5

Let us begin this week’s episode by wishing all of the Moms out there a Happy (belated) Mother’s Day!

We hope you had a fantastic day, felt appreciated by your family and hopefully you got some fun gifts too!

As we all collectively begin to take the necessary precautions to return to some semblance of normal life, including getting vaccinated, continuing to wear a mask, or even remembering to wash your hands…

No one… and I repeat, No One, is happier about this than one group … Single people

Like a rambunctious prized racing horse getting into the starting gate… or a race car revving its engine… Single people cannot be tamed, or controlled…

Yes, Single people have awoken from their Covid induced slumber…

… and after a year of socially distanced hibernation… …Mating season has officially begun!

It seems as though there is simply a buzz of love in the air… the only issue is… it isn’t the buzz of Single People…

… but instead the sound of Billions of mating Cicadas!

Yes… in case you haven’t already heard, every 17 years, after finishing maturing to adults underground, Cicadas leave their hibernation station and come up out of the ground for 7 weeks to mate, have kids, and then die…#whatalife

Cicadas are most commonly known for filling the air with a deafening mating hum that can reach up to 100 decibels… or as loud as a Motorcycle Motor!

As a single person myself, I have tried many pickup lines in my day… but I’ll admit…

I have yet to go to Central Park and scream Elton John’s “Your Song” at the top of my lungs to try and attract the ladies… but hey, if it works for Cicadas… who knows!

Luckily for us humans, Cicadas do not bite, they don’t kill crops or spread any diseases… so nothing to fear!

Cicadas get a bad reputation, but they are essentially hopeless romantics, trying to make the most of what little time they have.

We think that this sounds like the perfect Reality Dating Show, like “The Bachelor” meets “The Voice” … in what we would like to call - “The Hive”

Enough “buggin” you with Cicadas … let’s get into this week’s Potty Picks!

This week, we bring you one of the greatest videos of all time.

(pause for dramatic effect)

This two-minute video brings you all the thrill and excitement of a Mission Impossible movie… but this time…with Iguanas.

You simply have to see this to believe it!

While many videos these days are manipulated with CGI or animation… we can assure you this is 100% Real!

Even though it’s not Thursday, doesn’t mean we can’t start this week off with some Throwback Jams in our POTTY Picks of the Week!

There is nothing better than being reminded of a song you had forgotten about, but as soon as it comes on… you realize you know every single word!

One of the best parts of wearing a mask in public, is it makes it much easier to sing along to songs without anyone knowing!

This week, sing along to 5 fantastic tracks, featuring music from: Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Michael Jackson, Hall & Oats, and Amy Winehouse

Feel free to Follow and share this playlist with friends or anyone that would enjoy it, we add 5 new songs every Monday!

For this week’s Bathroom Moment of the Week, we stay with the musical theme and take you to the home of 26-year-old musical virtuoso and 7 time Grammy Award Winner, Jacob Collier… or more specifically his Bathroom.

To those unfamiliar with Collier, he has been referred to as the 21st Century Beethoven, and it’s easy to see why, as he not only sings… but also plays every single instrument in this video! (Not to mention, he also films and edits his videos himself…)

In this performance, watch as Collier uses item from his Bathroom and turns their sounds into a performance you are not going to forget!

As you know by now, we like finish our blogs by sending you into the week with a quote that helps put you in the right mindset for the week ahead!

This week’s quote comes from the Dalai Lama who says:

“Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.”

- Dalai Lama

We hope that you have a meaningful week, filled with both meaningful days and meaningful relationships!

Use this rare opportunity of time to remain present, and find our what provides meaning in your life – and surround yourself with as many of those things as possible.

We hope you all have a fantastic week and we will see you next week for another episode of “Potty Time with POTTYMINTS”

Feel free to share this with a friend, or someone you think would enjoy it!

Have a great week!
